Story :
Even after two successful devotional flicks Nagarjuna is famous for his famous flamboyant nature, now Akkineni Nagarjuna is back once again to enthrall the audience with his devotional movie Shirdi Sai which has been released all across the world today.

As the name indicates, this story is about the entire life of Shirdi Sai Baba where it starts off from the year 1854 in a small town named Shirdi where a young boy visit and later as he grows big shows some miracles which earns him followers who meditate along with him under a neem tree. This fact of a young boy attracting audience does not go really well with the local leader Bhatia (Sayaji Shinde) who brews up trouble for this young boy.

As a result this young boy moves away from this place only to come back after some time who is named Sai Baba (Nagarjuna) after some time he also gets a long list of followers (Sarath Babu, Srikanth, Kamalinee). Bhatia this time once again tries to intervene and prove himself superior which only goes against him every time finally there comes a point when Shirdi Sai Baba leaves his body. Entire story of this movie is about his journey from start to end.

Analysis:
Nagarjuna once again proved himself to be the perfect choice for this devotional role of Sai Baba who has that serene and peaceful look, the performance given by him in the last twenty minutes of the movie will surely leave everyone spell bound. This last part of the movie is sufficient to tell that there is no other existing actor of his generation who could have done much better job as Sai Baba.

Every other character artists have aptly fill in their role however the comic part in this movie if it can be called so was much disappointing but can also be ignored for this being a devotional movie. Climax is surely to leave audience in tears for terrific picturing and performance of Nagarjuna and surely can be said as highlight of the entire movie.

Director Raghavendra Rao has maintained perfect balance between the spiritual concept and dramatic happenings of miracles, perfect colors have been used for songs. First half of the movie has been directed well however there is a slight drop in second half also lacking to catch the attention of audience until the last 20 minutes of movie.

Performances:
Nagarjuna is right choice for the role who has carried out this role, Sarath Babu and Srikanth have elegant and very neat in their work all others have also appropriately carried out their roles. Sayaji Shinde is famous for his negative work and has once again showed his competence through this role where she also uses minute amount of humor and large quota of jealousy and ego.

Technicalities:
Cinematography by S Gopal Reddy has added a huge advantage to the movie with the rich visuals he has provided; even the dialogues given to the characters were prefect taking into mind Sai baba’s nature. Music from Keeravani has fit aptly into the situations like background score and re-recording while the director has showed all his years of experience in the climax episodes. But at the same time Comedy was one area which could have been focused more on.

Final Word:
A huge round of applause for Nagarjuna for taking up this role which needs a serene look after having worked on various other aspects, it is good for all those who are completely into spirituality of Sai Baba without any expectations.
